What is Sucupira?
Native to Brazil’s Cerrado region, Sucupira (Pterodon emarginatus) is a flowering tree with a long place in Brazilian botanical tradition. Several plants share the common name “sucupira”; Brazilian Botanics uses seed from Pterodon emarginatus, the species identified for our current formulation.

Across Brazil, sucupira seeds have been used for generations in traditional botanical preparations, including infusions and alcohol-based extracts. That traditional history is part of why we chose sucupira as the first Brazilian botanical to introduce under Brazilian Botanics.
Product Integrity
Our Extraction Process
Our liquid extract uses a precise 1:3 weight-to-volume extraction ratio. The formulation contains sucupira seed, ethanol, and water, with a final alcohol content of 60% ABV. The goal is a consistent, clearly specified extract with no added sweeteners, preservatives, or processing aids.
